A BIT ABOUT J.C. Newcomb

John was born in Orange County, California when orange groves dotted the landscape in abundance.

After completing college at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California, he joined the military, serving in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, home of the 82nd airborne and Special Forces Operations, Seoul, Korea and Fort Carson, Colorado, where he fought tooth crimes and currently brings people closer to God than most assassins by doing root canals on unsuspecting victims . . . patients.

In 2009, the thought of writing a book struck him on a whim. Although his first manuscript will most likely never see the light of day, he completed it in one year and loved every painstaking minute of it.

Since the life-changing moment when he discovered that “pros” doesn’t always apply to sports, he’s been a prolific  writer, completing numerous  books over several  genres, from adult thrillers to children’s picture books (that actually rhyme well) and keeps racking up the miles with both a YA & MG series between.

He currently lives in Denver with his wife and two children.
